De Colores

This collection of folk songs is bright with all the color and spirit of Latin-American culture. From traditional folk songs to silly rhymes and hand games, it provides songs for every occasion and mood. Each song is illustrated with colorful collage artwork by Elisa Kleven and is accompanied by simple musical arrangements for piano, voice and guitar. The lyrics appear in both English and the original Spanish. Background notes on the origins of the songs, as well as suggestions for hand gestures and singing games, are also included.
