Here's an accessible drum feature in swing style that pays tribute to Count Basie and Neal Hefti. Offering the drummer a chance to play with both sticks and brushes, the tempo is about 132 beats per minute and  there is plenty of ensemble with the drummer and band playing call and response figures. Written solos are provided for tenor 1 and trumpet 2, and the trumpet 1 range is to written G on top of the staff. The drum solos are notated, but the drummer can embellish if desired.  Optional parts are included for expanded instrumentations. Nicely done!
