Mixed Meter Trio

This trio was composed for three 8th grade percussionists. �The piece requires critical dynamic control between the snare drum and tom tom parts as well as technical fluency in snare drum rolling techniques. �It includes an andante section designed for players to explore a lighter, softer, and more delicate playing style than would normally occur in ensembles written for middle school level.
