Commissioned by the Indiana Music Educators Association for the 2011 Middle School Honor Choir, this exuberant festival opener begins with "Alleluias" then builds over an exciting piano accompaniment to the lyric, "Sing a mighty song, awake, arise, ye voices!" The optional trumpet and vocal descant add colorful fanfare to this rousing concert work for choirs at all levels. Highly recommended!
