Jazz Orff Songbook

This resource was written by two professional jazz musicians who are also elementary music teachers. They have developed a resource that teaches children the rhythms and the feel of jazz, either vocally or on Orff instruments. The CDs include multiple tracks for each of the six songs, teaching first the jazz rhythms, then the melody phrase by phrase. There is a full performance/accompaniment track and then an extended track to allow your students to improvise vocally or instrumentally.
