Second inversion then goes DOWN from root position and does NOT continue UP from first inversion. This clarifies each inversion's relationship to root position and makes the concept of moving the Bottom note to the Top of the chord for 1st inversion and moving the Top note to even though they ALL finger the same to make that point clear as well.
