This seven-movement setting of the "Requiem" is an excellent addition to the repertoire. The choral writing is accessible and the orchestration is colorful. Both English and Latin texts are used at various moments throughout. The traditional requiem text is enhanced by the use of Psalm 23 and portions of Revelations. The orchestral forces needed include: flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, french horn, harp, timpani and strings.
