Publisher Desc.  A Polonaise is usually a stately theme in 3/4 time that is NOT a waltz. This piece is a Double because it is in 6/4 rather than 3/4. The technical description of the music is a simple two-part theme which moves from tonic to dominant and flows through various closely-related keys to a short recap and coda.
