Sinapu

Sinapu is the Ute Indian word for "wolf." This composition uses a tenor recorder to help create a Native American ambiance, a rock section, splashes of percussion sounds, and strings imitating wolf sounds to create a unique sonic environment. It was commissioned by the Grandview (Colorado) High School and was premiered at the national ASTA Conference, Salt Lake City.
