The Twelve Days of Christmas

Add the school's string orchestra to the jazz band with this creative and effective rock chart on this fun holiday classic! The melody is traded from section to section, giving each a "day" in a predictable way until it's the pianist's turn. Then things change abruptly and some funky fun begins. This leads to an open solo section over only two chords, but the background parts are so good that the solos could be omitted if desired. A few measures of piano sets the melody up again, this time as a canon, leading to a big ending.
