Mambo Over the Mountain

This catchy mambo is built almost entirely on the rhythmic figure clapped in the first two bars. Its authentic mambo flavor is a blast to play. After two bars of hand claps, it's winds only, then the rhythm section is layered in. Nice combinations of instrumental textures keep things interesting throughout. The solos can be opened up for as many players as desired, there are optional parts included for expanded instrumentations, and don't miss the highly effective drum/percussion-only interlude near the end! This is a great chart with a lot of substance.
