The Mass of the Resurrection is based upon three principal themes: the solemn tone of the Gregorian Te Deum laudamus, the Great Alleluia which is sung thrice at the Great Vigil of Easter, and the splendid Easter sequence Victimae paschali laudes. These three Easter themes permeate the Mass, thus joining the past centuries' melodies with this new work to celebrate the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Sections include: Kyrie eleison; Gloria in excelsis; Sanctus and Benedictus; Agnus Dei.
