A no-nonsense chart featuring lots of unisons and tasty ensemble passages, this  bluesy swinger is ideal for developing groups. The trombones state the melody over a standard 12-bar blues format, followed by an 8-measure saxophone soli, making this a kind of blues with a bridge. There are solo opportunities for tenor and trumpet, as well as some great moments for the drummer. Then the entire band takes the chart out, with the drums getting the final say. Impressive!
