The Snake Pit

Sure to produce some heebie-jeebies, this work for young band re-creates the reaction many feel when seeing a snake. Young percussionists will especially delight as they get to use a wide variety of auxiliary percussion in mimicking the sounds of these slithery serpents. Eighth-note patterns and dynamic contrasts add to the creepy effect that will have everyone checking the ground around them.
