Creator, Open Our Hearts

This brief anthem prays for the openness to work for peace and healing for all people and all of creation. The text is a prayer by Alycia Longriver Davis of the Micmac tribe who writes, "I said it as a prayer over and over again daily, while on a Native American based cross-country walk themed Respect for People, Respect for the Earth." The musical setting is easily learned and useful as an introit, prayer response, or benediction as well as an anthem.
