This beautiful setting for SSA choir of a 15th-century macaronic text, English and Latin, is appropriate for Advent. The score includes a translation of the Latin text. Modal cadences, the mixed meter that accommodates the poetry, and the radiant picardy third at the very end give the piece a flowing, timeless quality.
