Dream as an Innocent Child

This work addresses the difficulties of our world while finding cause for hope and peace within them. Accordingly, the lyrics play off the themes of darkness and light and invoke the memories of childlike innocence that are such a part of our holiday traditions. A rare work: a Christmas carol in which the imagery walks a fine line between secular and sacred and is nevertheless deeply moving as well as spiritual.
