Down By the Salley Gardens

This richly conceived setting of the William Butler Yeats poem is an impressive concert or contest selection with easily managed divisi in three of the four parts. Based on a traditional Irish tune, this work is full of musical expression with a few harmonic surprises and contrast between the choral textures and the sparkling piano accompaniment.
