Bethlehem Down

Josh Bauder is new to the Hinshaw catalogue.  While quite prolific in other catalogues, this first Hinshaw publication is scored for mixed chorus with piano.  Focusing on Christ’s gifts at his birth, the piece could easily be used on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Epiphany, or for your Lessons and Carols.  Mostly homophonic, the lovely lyrical melody is enhanced by an evocative harmonic language and a supportive role for the keyboard.
