Appropriate for any festive celebration, the text sings of God’s love, which created us and carries us through the difficulties and joys of life. The opening phrase makes a bold statement, especially with the use of full organ registration of mixtures and reeds. A contrasting middle section builds back to the feeling of the opening, then the piece ends with full resources. Optional instrumental parts are playable by either brass quartet or quintet, with or without timpani.
