Rhythmic and tonal variety abound in this exuberant setting of the traditional French carol. Mixed meter punctuated by tasteful syncopations will delight the choir and listener alike. A pastoral middle section with lush harmonies is followed by soaring, rhapsodic "glorias." Orchestration available separately for flute, oboe, B-flat clarinet, bassoon, horn in F, B-flat trumpet, timpani, bells, two violins, viola, cello, and string bass.
