These two contrasting works are perfect for achieving different sounds from your orchestra. Dancing Sunlight is in 6/8 and floats dreamily between major and minor modes. Laser Beams is much more direct, with running sixteenth-note passages for everyone and much more counterpoint between the sections. First violins will use third position, and solid counting skills are a definite plus!
