Irish Tune from County Derry
One of Grainger's most famous works, better known as Danny Boy, in a version for strings, eight winds and percussion. Although best known in its band version, Grainger himself did this arrangement for Leopold Stokowski! The scoring is lush and beautiful and there won't be a dry eye in the house when you're done. (Recorded on the CD "Grainger Works for Wind Orchestra," #5558507)
