(Op. 6, No. 8)
Archangelo Corelli/arr. Dackow
- Tempo Press
What a wonderful choice for a holiday concert! Corelli's "Concerti Grossi" are brilliant examples of Baroque orchestral writing, with many sequences, chain suspensions and sharp dynamics. This is one of the best-known of the concerti, and because of its subtitle, is perfect for any seasonal concert. The arrangement, by Sandy Dackow, is right on the mark for orchestras at this level. Superb!
