Product Description
Piano Adventures is a popular method that combines the strength of intervallic reading, multi-key and middle C approaches, offering an exciting variety of sounds and styles with many teacher duets. Piano Adventures entertains and delights students with beautiful color illustrations and a carefully conceived layout. It promotes discovery and creativity - a real musical adventure! The Primer level introduces the student to the keyboard and immediately offers tunes on black key groups. The student begins playing on the white keys in middle C position, with varied fingerings however. Concurrent with individual note reading, the student is required to read the contour of the musical line - step or skip, up or down. The grand staff is presented, followed by progressive early-elementary level tunes using the notes of middle C position with varied fingerings. Middle C position is then presented and tunes in this position are found at the end of the book. Overall, material is organized into units highlighting major concepts and skills. As new units are introduced, earlier concepts and skills are constantly reviewed.
