Essential Elements 2000 for Strings builds upon the success of the previous books. Student book 1 includes a Play-Along CD and DVD. This fun and motivational CD/DVD combination features two recordings of every exercise in the book! One recording contains the solo part played by a professional musician and the other is an accompaniment-only track. Accompaniment styles include jazz, rock, folk and more. The book includes concert arrangements by John Higgins, Bow Builders with a sequential set of right-hand exercises leading to good bow control, rhythm studies and daily warmup workouts. Also included are history, theory and creativity studies that teach towards the National Standards in Arts education. The features on the CD and DVD included with student book 1 make this method stand apart!
