A dramatic overture for younger bands!  A slow mysterious-sounding opening with a theme that's introduced by the clarinets is followed by a more aggressive section in 3/4 that's carried by the percussion.  A colorful selection that's great for introducing the concept of chromaticism and syncopated rhythms, while keeping your percussion section busy.  Nice!
