This dynamic Latin tune showcases two feels, songo and samba, and results in an outstanding samba chart.  The exciting opening almost has an a cappella effect, but it's just the rhythm section playing softly. The opening unison lines lead to the full band opening it up with powerful tutti passages. Nice textures are created by the effective use of sectional interplay. The lead saxophone part is for soprano and the solos are for soprano and tenor saxes, or trumpet. You just have to move to this rhythmic feel!  Highly recommended!
