Blow, Blow, Thou Winter Wind
Opening with swirling, undulating accompaniment and minor harmonies, this setting of Shakespeare's famous text from, "As You Like It" really evokes the frosty imagery of winter. The "Heigh-ho, the holly" section provides striking contrast in a festive major key before the minor theme returns to close the work with a final, quiet breath of wind. This is an outstanding winterscape piece! Highly recommended!
