Clair de Lune
(Flexible Instrumentation)
Claude Debussy/arr. Bob Turner - Magnolia Music Publications, LLC
Clair de Lune
Clair de Lune is a flexible instrumentation combo chart and can be played as a four-, five- or six-horn arrangement. A wide variety of parts are included so the horn section can be mixed and matched to achieve the desired sound. Adequate parts are included so that it can be actually be performed as a big-band chart, or anything in between. Originally composed by Claude Debussy in 1890 for piano, this arrangement is a fresh take on one of the most beautiful and often-heard solo piano pieces. It begins and ends with the original piano version of Clair de Lune and has an open solo section in the middle.
