This piece was inspired by Frank Arsenault and John S. Pratt. This solo is vintage early 1960's and reflects the energy and musicianship of these great artists. It begins in 4/4 time, ends in 2/4 time, and captures the essence of the drumming of the American Revolution. It serves as a rudimental selection in the style of the 18th century military drumming. The dynamics, use of accents, and signature tempos will create audience interest and serve as the perfect piece for solo festivals, auditions and juries.
