This work is based on five English folk dances: Stanes Morris; Stingo; Daphne; Argeers and The Slip.  The musical treatment is improvisatory, playful, mischievous and generally compact in structure, with a strong emphasis on style and tone color.  A popular choice for contest, it appears on many state contest lists.  (Recorded in the 3-CD set "Teaching Music Through Performance In Band Volume 2, Grade 4," #5976281)
