Traditionally performed in Coventry, England as part of a mystery play, this carol dates back to the 16th century. The author of the music is unknown, but provides one of the best known examples of the Picardy third. Although a lesser-known Christmas selection, it has a catchy melody that is easily absorbed and enjoyed.
