Danza para Mi Hija
With exciting yet accessible rhythms, Danza Para Mi Hija (Dance for My Daughter) is a terrific introduction to Latin music. The melody is passed between reeds and brass and there is even a simplified montuno following the solo section. The features include moderate ranges, notated rhythm section parts, and an open solo section. Any player can solo with notes from the concert G natural minor scale using the included transposed scale sheet, and the solo section can be repeated as many times as necessary with backgrounds cued as desired. For students who wish not to improvise, a suggested solo is included in all parts. Scored for full jazz ensemble, it will sound full and complete with an optional minimum instrumentation of nine players (AAT Saxes, 2 Trumpets, 1 Trombone, and PBD Rhythm). Include more players by using any or all of the included Flute, Clarinet, F Horn, Tuba, and Baritone T.C. parts! Highly recommended!
