The features include moderate ranges, notated rhythm section parts, and open solo sections. Any player can solo with notes from the concert F mixolydian scale using the included transposed scale sheet, and the solo section can be repeated as many times as necessary with backgrounds cued as desired. For students wishing not to improvise, a suggested solo is included in all parts. Scored for full jazz band, it will sound full and complete with an optional minimum instrumentation of nine players (AAT Saxes, 2 Trumpets, 1 Trombone, and PBD Rhythm).
