Deux Arabesques
Two Arabesques are among Claude Debussy's early works for solo piano (along with Suite bergamasque and Pour le piano). When first printed in 1891, it was presented as Debussy's first work for solo piano. This Urtext edition includes performance notes and instructions about pedaling, tempo and phrasing, fingering, articulation, and dynamics. A one-page facsimile of the first page of Arabesque 2 is included. A preface and critical commentary are included in German, English and French. Edited by Regina Back and fingering by Frederick Palme. Contents are: Arabesque 1 and Arabesque 2.
