Hal Leonard Student Piano Library Adult Piano Method
The Hal Leonard Student Piano Library's Adult Piano Method is attractive, pedagogically sound and easily digestible by any new student to the piano! It takes an all-in-one approach by combining lessons, solos, technique and theory into a single volume. Adults begin by becoming familiar with the keyboard and black key groups. Rhythmic notation is introduced next and students begin to play notated pieces by reading simple, pre-staff notation on black key groups and then white key groups. Students are introduced to the five-line staff simply and gradually in Unit 2. By the end of Book 1, students are playing early intermediate originals and arrangements in the keys of C Major and A Minor. Richly orchestrated accompaniments are available on the enclosed CD or MIDI disk. The Popular Hits book is a supplement to the core method book and offers brand new arrangements of standard favorites that adults recognize and love to play. The twelve songs in the Popular Hits book include: American Pie; My Heart Will Go On; Strangers in the Night; Vincent; Y.M.C.A. and more.
