Introduzione e Gloria
This edition of Vivaldi's lesser-known setting of the Gloria keeps with Carus Verlag's tradition of cleanliness and minimal editorial markings. The work is scored for trumpet, two oboes, strings, continuo, and SATB choir with alto, tenor and two soprano soloists. The opening introduction is a solo movement followed by a short recitative which then joyously launches into the eleven-movement setting of the Gloria. The last movement has similarities to Vivaldi's better-known Gloria RV 589.
