Variations on Lift High the Cross (CRUCIFIER) has a fanfare introduction, which also can be used as a hymn introduction. That is followed by an Allegretto, Meditation, Scherzo; Reflectionand Finale. Also included are two variations, Trumpet Tune and Exaltation, useful as postludes. Exaltation can also serve as another hymn introduction. Registrations can easily be adapted for a two-manual organ.
