Inspired by a song written in 1939 by Ervin Rouse about a train, it has become known as "the fiddle players national anthem." The composer growing up in a railroad town during WWII probably played a part in that composition. This score is based, not on any thematic material, but on the spirit of this wonderful fiddle tune.
