Practical Method of Italian Singing
Italian composer Nicola Vaccai (1790-1848) was initially known for his operas, but today is remembered as a master voice teacher. Vaccai composed this collection to train the classical voice by extending range, increasing agility and breath support, and addressing other technical issues. His methodology has been used by millions of singers since its first publication in Europe in the 19th century. Schirmer released the first American edition in the early 20th century, which remains a classic for voice study. This famous method is now available with an enhanced piano accompaniment CD, including tempo adjustment software for computer use.
