Ready Freddie is a medium up-tempo minor blues chart that swings hard in a traditional style, yet sounds fresh and new. It has great full band unisons, hip brass punches and a nice "horns only" interlude with minimal rhythm section participation. There are suggested solos for tenor sax and trumpet, the lead trumpet range is to written G on top of the staff, and there are optional parts for flute, horn in F, baritone horn and tuba. All this at an accessible grade level! Highly recommended!
