Bob Curnow continues to add to his Pat Metheny Big Band Series with this wonderful light, laid-back, Latin/rock chart. It's easy to play, with limited ranges in the brass and a level of writing attractive even to a younger group. Beginning with the drums setting the groove in the intro, it transitions to the brass playing the melody with sax section punches, then a short sax soli, followed by full ensemble and a longer sax soli. The full ensemble closes it out. There is solo space for alto saxophone and trumpet/flugelhorn. Highly recommended!
