This lovely tune gives the listener a feeling of waking up on a sunlit spring day. As is typical of the Springtime, towards the end of the piece, a sudden shower takes over the landscape. Here tremolos in the upper strings counter the low string melody, evocative of a pleasant steady rain. A great way of teaching tremolo technique and sensitive expressive playing.
