This a cappella arrangement of the traditional spiritual is set in a heavy blues style for alto solo with choir, with the alto and tenor lines having some limited divisi sections. Beautiful legato and dynamically subtle lines of the choir contrast the soaring and passion-filled lines of the soloists. A moving musical experience for both the accomplished choir and the audience.
