Product Description
This book and CD combination is designed for general music teachers who are looking for a fun, hands-on approach to introducing jazz to their young students. No prior jazz experience is necessary. Activities center around a jazz music story where students participate with movement, singing, speech, and instruments. Orff arrangements and recorder/barred parts are included to enhance the story experience. Story text, open blues tracks, a blues song, an instrumental song, and jazz solos of featured instruments are included on the CD. The reproducible section allows students to copy, color, cut, and paste paper puppets and images.
