Canal Street Commotion
This chart features the sound of a New Orleans funeral band historically known as the "Second Line" behind the family and casket. It's a time for celebration coming after the initial mourning period. It's lots of fun to play in the style of a funky, marching, dixieland band. The harmonic form is the blues and there is room made for soloing both inside the ensemble and for featured soloists. The saxophone section features soprano lead and optional flute and tuba parts are included. A change-of-pace highlight with attitude!
