A charming suite intended as a homage and stepping stone to the works of Holst, Grainger and Vaughan Williams. The three movements are based on traditional English folk tunes which include sea songs, a ballad, and an old whimsical children's song. Written in a style reminiscent of these masters, this suite is accessible to younger bands yet appropriate for more advanced ensembles.
