Join us once again as Bobbie Thornton from Sibelius USA provides informative demonstration and training sessions on utilizing the amazing capabilities of Sibelius 5, ProTools and Sibelius software products for the classroom.  Lunch will be provided for you on Saturday. Registration fee:  $30.00

6:00-8:00 PM - ProTools Recording Workshop - A Grand Rapids area choir will perform as we demonstrate recording basics for live performance. We will cover MIDI, adding effects, editing material, how to save an audio file and burn it to a CD, and more.   Recordings will be done using the state-of-the-art technology of the M-Audio MicroTrack II

Event Details:
Middle School/High School, Elementary, and Church Choral Reading Sessions with Mary Lynn Lightfoot, Russell Robinson, Patricia Bourne and Don Barrows featuring music from multiple publishers. All sessions will be held at CenterPoint Christian Fellowship in Tacoma.

Please pre-register by July 9 to reserve a packet and lunch. Registration will be open at 7:45 a.m. both days (6:00 p.m. for Church Session).

One or two 500-level credits or up to 19 clock hours will be available. More information about credit/clock hours, accommodations and driving directions will be sent with registration confirmation. There will be a display of music for perusal and purchase at the sessions.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 16, 2008: Middle High School/High School Session
Clinicians: Mary Lynn Lightfoot, Russ Robinson, Patricia Bourne
8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
$50 registration fee includes music packet and lunch.
This session will feature new 2pt, SSA, TTBB, 3pt/SAB, and SATB music from various publishers that is appropriate for middle school to high school choirs.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 16, 2008: Church Session
Clinician: Don Barrows
6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.
$25 registration fee includes music packet and refreshments
New traditional and contemporary Christian music from various publishers. Directors may bring choir members, but registration is limited to five people per church.

THURSDAY, JULY 17, 2008: Elementary School Session
Clinicians: Mary Lynn Lightfoot, Russ Robinson, Patricia Bourne
8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
$50 registration fee includes music packet and lunch.
This session will feature new unison and 2pt music from various publishers that is appropriate for elementary and community youth choirs.

Lunch is included  with School Reading session and John Jacobson session.

Elementary Session(exclusively for Elementary Directors):  Thursday, July 17th 2008.  Session runs from 1:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. with registration beginning at 12:30 p..m.  Packet includes the latest elementary titles for the new year.

Church Session (exclusively for Church Music Directors): Thursday, July 17th 2008.  Session runs from 6:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with registration and hors d'oeuvres beginning at 6:00 p.m.  You will receive over 50 church anthems in a variety of styles for the church year.

School Reading Session (for Choral Directors and Music Teachers Grades K-12): Friday, July 18th 2008 Session runs from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and includes lunch. You will read choral music for all levels (K-12) in a variety of styles: Concert/Festival, Pop/Show/Jazz, Light Concert, Broadway and many more. Each registered participant will receive a packet of choral music including over 100 titles - a $150 value! Meet the composers and arrangers as they present the music and share their expertise.

John Jacobson Workshop: Saturday, July 19th 2008 For Teachers and Students 9:00 a.m.­1:30 p.m.
AS REQUESTED!  Exclusive Teacher Session 1:30 p.m.­4:00 p.m.
John will teach dance steps and staging ideas to teachers and students in the morning session, and everyone will enjoy lunch together. The afternoon session will be for teachers only and will feature choral music appropriate for staging, suggestions for riser choreography, and innovative ideas to enhance your choral performances. There will be an afternoon break out session for students - choreography by Jarad Voss!  

Come prepared for the Q & A session at the end of the day!  Take advantage of John's expertise! Revive yourself at this motivational workshop and receive a packet of music for all levels in a variety of styles, PLUS a helpful choreography booklet and a FREE DVD featuring John teaching the steps for 10 songs!

College credit is available by taking the School Session on 7/18 & John Jacobson session on 7/19.
