This chart demands a strong bass trombone player and solo space is for alto, tenor and trombone. The score calls for soprano sax double in the lead alto part and flute/piccolo in 2nd alto (could be transposed) and two auxiliary percussion parts. Here's a monster of a swinger that's designed to feature the entire ensemble. In addition to a wonderful riff-based theme and a very satisfying shout chorus, the chart includes section feature spots for saxes, trumpets and trombones, without the rhythm section. Very effective!
